Get to know all of you. Work with, Kinga Robinson, one of the few counsellors in the Okanagan certified to Level 3 in IFS, where every part of you is met with curiosity.

When your life, relationships, or your own mind, feel stuck

The quality of your relationships, with yourself and with the people closest to you, shapes how life feels. Sometimes those relationships turn strained, confusing, or painful. Sometimes it is quieter than that: a loop you cannot step out of, a reaction bigger than the moment called for, a sense of being stuck without quite knowing why.

Counselling is a place to slow down, look more closely, and start to understand what is happening underneath.

A steadier relationship with yourself, through Internal Family Systems

We are all made up of parts. Some protect us, some carry old hurt, some try to run the whole show. IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a proven way of turning toward those parts with curiosity instead of fighting them, so the ones that have been working too hard can ease off. What grows from that is a calmer, steadier relationship with yourself, and that changes how you interact with everyone and everything else.

I am one of only a handful of therapists in the Okanagan who is certified and has Level 3 training, the model's most advanced level of training in IFS.

Couples counselling in Kelowna, with Intimacy from the Inside Out

For two people who keep landing in the same argument and cannot find the way out.

IFIO (Intimacy from the Inside Out) is the couples form of IFS. Instead of refereeing the fight, we slow it down so each of you can see what is really getting touched underneath, and learn to speak for those tender parts rather than from them. That is what loosens the cycle and lets you hear each other again.

Who I work with

I work with adults and couples across the Okanagan: individuals wanting to understand themselves more clearly, couples caught in the same cycle, and parents wanting to build connection to their children. People come to me while navigating grief and loss, life transitions, stress, addiction and recovery, questions of trust and communication, and the experience of building a life between cultures.

What working together looks like

It starts with a free 15 minute consultation, a low pressure conversation to feel out whether we are a good fit. If it feels right, we book a first session. Early on, sessions are usually weekly, then move to every couple of weeks, then to occasional check ins, at whatever pace suits your needs, life, and your budget. You are the one who decides how often we meet.

Sessions are available in person at my Kelowna office and online across British Columbia. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Counselling is not covered by MSP, but many extended health plans do cover it, and I am compliant with Pacific Blue Cross and Sunlife. Current session fees and coverage details are on the FAQ.
