Yes, all of our discussions are private unless they fall within 3 specific conditions, which all counsellors are legally bound by. If any one of these conditions are met, I must break confidentiality.
These conditions are:
If there is an intention to harm yourself or someone else
For the protection of a child or vulnerable adult
If your file is subpoenaed by the courts

What is the cost of each session?
$145 individual counselling (55 min session) $165 couples and families (55 min session) all initial sessions with couples and families are 85 min Limited sliding scale sessions may be available for individual, couple, and family therapy sessions Though counselling is not covered by the BC Medical Services Plan, it is covered by some Extended Health Plans. Please refer to your specific Extended Health Plan to determine your coverage. If you are eligible for coverage I will provide you with my registration number on your receipt, which you can then submit for a reimbursement. Payment will be accepted by cash or e-transfer at the end of each session.
What if I have to cancel my session?
You will be responsible for keeping your scheduled appointment. Please note that a 24hr notice is required regarding any cancellations. Should you not cancel your appointment within the allotted time period you will be billed for a full session. Exceptions can be made in case of an emergency.
What if I'm running late for a session?
If you are late for your appointment I will wait for 10 minutes before assuming that the appointment has been cancelled, unless contacted by you. Note that our time will be limited to the remaining session time and you will be charged the regular fee for the session.
