I approach counselling from an integrated perspective incorporating modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Collaborative, Emotion Focused (EFT), and Gottman therapy. Through this lens I support individuals, couples, and families with identifying their coping strategies and their cycles of interaction with themselves and others, with bringing awareness to the internal state that keeps them trapped in the same interactional dynamic with self and others, and with learning to reduce the reactivity they experience so they can feel both heard and see by others. The techniques I use incorporate listening, psycho-educational discussions, role-play, cognitive re-framing, self-monitoring experiments, mindfulness and grounding exercises. I offer both in-person and online brief or long term support.
I believe in the uniqueness of each individual and meeting every human in the place where they are at.
